"Acadian Rhapsody" visual communication
April 12, 2024
Photography Class by NCCAC Artist Mr. Charles Pan.
Many of Charles's students come from the Acadian community. Over the past 400 years, this community has weathered many storms and finally established a beautiful home on the East Coast of Canada, making significant contributions to Canada's bilingual culture and diverse development. In the "Acadian Rhapsody" project, students begin by researching their own ethnic history and culture, finding scenes, acting as models, and sourcing traditional costumes. This marks the first day of test shoot as they delve into visual communication.
Extend gratitude to the Moncton City Club (Since 1909) for providing the venue and a delicious Acadian lunch. Special thanks to Mr. Luowei Xu from NCCAC, our keynote speaker for today, who gave an insightful cross-cultural lecture on Acadian history and culture.
